Day 1 : Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Valley

Your Marrakech to Fes desert tour 4 days begins with a morning departure from your accommodation in Marrakech. Drive through the majestic High Atlas Mountains to the Kasbah Ait Benhaddou.

You will pass through several Berber villages, enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the Atlas Mountains, and stop at some exquisite views for pictures.
Arrive at Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you will explore the antique kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and learn about its rich history. Many international movies shot in Morocco used the Kasbah as a location, including Ali Baba, Game of Thrones, Gladiator…

After having lunch in a local restaurant, drive towards the Dades Valley, passing through Ouarzazate and the Valley of Roses.
Once you arrive at Dades, known for its stunning rock formations called ”Monkey Fingers”, before heading to your accommodation. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga

After breakfast, you will drive along the Todra River (full of palm groves and Berber villages) to the Todra Gorge in Tinghir, where you’ll be greeted by towering cliffs that rise to 160 meters, and one of the most spectacular canyons in the world! Take a leisurely walk through the gorge.

After lunchtime, you will continue your journey towards Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Pass through Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, and soak in the views of the captivating Ziz Valley with its lush palm groves.

Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional Moroccan hospitality. You will have the opportunity to go on a camel ride into the desert to watch the magical sunset over the golden dunes and try sandboarding.

Arrive at your luxury desert camp, enjoy a delicious dinner, and spend the night under a starry sky.

Day 3 : 4×4 Desert Excursion Includes (Dunes drive, Nomad family, Khamlia Village):

Today, an early wake-up is highly recommended to watch a gorgeous Sunrise from the nearest dune of your camp. After a delicious breakfast in the camp, you will have a full day to discover the Merzouga desert.

Our 4×4 SUV will enable you to venture into the heart of the desert to visit the Berber Nomads behind the dunes, where you will get to know their nomadic lifestyle, listen to their stories, and learn how they have survived in the middle of nowhere! and many more about their rich culture.

Next, you’ll visit the small, hidden village of M’fis. Then, continue your adventure to the Khamlia village to enjoy their unique African music.

After enjoying a Berber pizza in Khamlia village, we’ll head to your accommodation. You’ll have a free afternoon to explore the town or relax on the nearby dunes and watch the sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the Riad.

Day 4 : Merzouga - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Ifrane - Fes:

After a traditional breakfast, start exploring the real Moroccan Desert towards Fes. Pass through the town of Erfoud and drive through the scenic Ziz Valley, with its lush palm groves.

Continue through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing by the town of Midelt, where we can have lunch or somewhere along the way. We may see some Barbary apes in the cedar forest.

We will also stop in Ifrane before heading to Fes for a break. This city is known for its European-style architecture and is nicknamed “Little Switzerland”. Your 4 days from Marrakech to Fes will end by dropping you off at your accommodation in Fes.
