Expand allDay 1:Arrival in Tangier & City Tour
Today Marks the beginning of your 12 days in Morocco from Tangier. Upon arrival in Tangier, your driver will greet you at the airport or port and take you to your accommodation. After checking in, start exploring Tangier’s historic sites. You can walk through the Kasbah, see the impressive Bab Bhar gate, and wander the souks around the Petit Socco. You’ll notice how the city blends Spanish, Moroccan, and Mediterranean influences. You can also visit Cape Spartel and the Hercules Caves, which are said to be where Hercules once rested. In the evening, enjoy a seafood dinner with a view of the port.

Day 2:Tangier ➝ Chefchaouen
After breakfast, you’ll travel toward the Rif Mountains until you reach Chefchaouen. The drive is beautiful, passing through rolling hills and lush green valleys. Once you arrive, check into your riad and spend the day wandering the charming blue streets, visiting Plaza Uta el-Hammam, and hiking up to the Spanish Mosque for an incredible view of the entire town. Taste some traditional northern Moroccan dishes and try the local goat cheese. Enjoy a peaceful evening in the cool mountain air.

Day 3: Chefchaouen ➝ Volubilis ➝ Meknes ➝ Fes
In the morning, leave Chefchaouen and drive to Volubilis to explore the Roman ruins, including the well-preserved mosaics from the ancient empire. Next, continue to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, where you will see Bab Mansour, El Hedim Square, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After lunch, travel to Fes and check into a riad in the historic medina. In the evening, you can take a short walk to get a first glimpse of the city’s ancient streets and vibrant atmosphere.

Day 4:Guided Exploration of Fes
After breakfast, meet your local guide and explore the medieval maze of Fes el-Bali. Visit the bustling souks, the tanneries, the Nejjarine Museum, the Qarawiyyin Mosque and University, and the historic madrasas. You will see artisans working with leather, copper, and ceramics just as they have for centuries. Your guide will share insights about the city’s religious history and its Andalusian-inspired architecture. In the afternoon, visit the gates of the Royal Palace and Borj Nord for panoramic views of the city. In the evening, return to your riad to relax.

Day 5: Fes ➝ Ifrane ➝ Azrou ➝ Midelt ➝ Merzouga Desert
Start your day early and travel south through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop at Ifrane, a charming mountain village often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” Continue to the cedar forest near Azrou to see the wild monkeys. Enjoy lunch in Midelt, surrounded by stunning mountain scenery. Drive through the scenic Ziz Valley until you reach Merzouga, on the edge of the Sahara Desert. Here, ride camels into the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi and watch the sunset as you make your way to your desert camp. In the evening, enjoy dinner, listen to traditional Berber drum music, and gaze at the endless stars overhead.

Overnight: Merzouga (Luxury Camp)
Day 6:Merzouga Desert Excursion
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, visit the village of Khamlia to hear traditional Gnawa music, stop by a nomad family’s home to learn about desert life, and explore nearby fossil fields or try sandboarding or a 4×4 adventure. Afterwards, return to your accommodation in Merzouga to shower and relax by the pool, or take a peaceful stroll among the dunes at sunset. Enjoy dinner and a restful night at the hotel.

Day 7:Merzouga ➝ Rissani ➝ Todgha Gorges ➝ Dades Valley
After breakfast in your host, say goodbye to the Sahara Desert, after leaving Merzouga we will make our first stop in the bustling Rissani market before heading to Todgha Gorge. Here, you can walk between canyon walls that soar over 300 meters a fantastic spot for photos and short hikes. Continue to the Dades Valley, stopping along the way to admire the famous “Monkey Fingers” rock formations. Drive through scenic kasbahs and charming small villages before checking into a Riad or Hotel in Boumalne Dades

Day 8:Dades Valley ➝ Roses Valley ➝ Ouarzazate ➝ Ait Ben Haddou ➝ Marrakech
After breakfast, travel through the Valley of Roses, renowned for its rosewater production and its annual rose festival. Continue to Ouarzazate, often called the “Hollywood of Africa,” where you can visit film studios and the Taourirt Kasbah. Next, explore the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has served as a filming location for many famous movies and TV shows. In the evening, arrive in the vibrant city of Marrakech after crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass. Spend the night in a traditional riad in the heart of the medina.

Day 9:Marrakech Guided City Tour
Enjoy a full 4 hours discovering the rich culture and history of Marrakech. Your local guide will take you to major landmarks including the Koutoubia Mosque, Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and Bahia Palace. Wander through the vibrant souks to see artisans selling local crafts, spices, and silks. Visit the beautiful Majorelle Garden, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent. End your day with a leisurely dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant.

Day 10:Marrakech ➝ Casablanca ➝ Rabat
After breakfast in Marrakech, drive to Casablanca for a brief visit to Morocco’s commercial hub. You’ll have time to see the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world, situated right on the Atlantic Ocean. Stroll along La Corniche and enjoy a coffee with views of the ocean before continuing to Rabat. Upon arrival, visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the historic Kasbah of the Udayas. End the day with a peaceful walk through the Andalusian Gardens. Dinner and overnight stay in Rabat.

Day 11:Rabat ➝ Asilah
After breakfast in Rabat, travel north along the Atlantic coast to Asilah. Along the way, stop at scenic coastal viewpoints to take photos and enjoy the stunning ocean views. Arrive in Asilah around noon, check into your hotel, and spend the day exploring its peaceful, artistic medina, filled with colorful murals and whitewashed houses. Take a stroll along the sea walls and watch the waves crash below. Asilah is a perfect place to relax and soak in its calm, creative atmosphere. Enjoy fresh seafood for dinner at a local restaurant.

Day 12:Asilah ➝ Tangier
After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely morning in Asilah or visit a nearby art museum. Around noon, take the short, scenic drive back to Tangier, where your journey began. If time permits, you can explore the Tangier medina one last time or pick up some souvenirs. Your driver will then transfer you to the Tangier airport or port for your flight or ferry. This marks the conclusion of your unforgettable 12 days in Morocco from Tangier, leaving you with lasting memories of the country’s culture, landscapes, and warm hospitality.
