8 Days from Marrakech to Tangier

Upon arrival at Marrakech Menara Airport, you will be warmly greeted and transferred to your accommodation in the city. Take the day at your own pace, immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of Marrakech. Your stay in a traditional riad offers a peaceful retreat, where you can wander through vibrant souks or relax in the lush gardens, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere before your adventure begins.

Overnight: Marrakech

Enjoy a full day discovering the rich culture and history of Marrakech. Your personal guide will take you to major landmarks including the Koutoubia Mosque, Jemaa el-Fnaa square, and Bahia Palace. Wander through the vibrant souks to see artisans selling local crafts, spices, and silks. Visit the beautiful Majorelle Garden, once owned by Yves Saint Laurent. End your day with a leisurely dinner at a traditional Moroccan restaurant.

In the morning, depart Marrakech and drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka pass, offering stunning views of valleys, mountains, and traditional Berber villages. After exploring this historic kasbah, continue to Boumalne Dades in the Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by striking red rock formations and lush palm groves.

Emerging from the High Atlas Mountains, you’ll journey deeper into the desert landscapes as you travel from the Dades Valley to Merzouga. Continue on to Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara Desert, famous for its stunning Erg Chebbi dunes. Arrive in time for a magical sunset camel ride over the golden sands, followed by a romantic night in Berber tents under the stars.

Rise early to witness a stunning sunrise over the dunes. Spend the day on a 4×4 excursion through the desert outskirts perhaps meeting local nomadic families or visiting Khamlia village, famous for its captivating Gnawa music. Later, head to the sand dunes to try sandboarding (remember, you’ll need to climb back up!) or simply unwind in the serene desert surroundings. Transfer to the Hotel.

Travel north through the beautiful Middle Atlas Mountains toward the city where your flight home departs. Enjoy enchanting mountain views with opportunities for short breaks along the way. In the evening, arrive in Fes and settle into a comfortable riad located in the historic medina.

Wander through its blue-washed streets and enjoy a pleasant evening in this picturesque town.
